1) Jean Moulin
Jean Moulin (1899/1943) was a high-profile member of the French Resistance during World War II. He is remembered today as an emblem of the Resistance and died in the hands of the Germans.
2) Philippe Pétain
In World War I, he was viewed as a hero in France, but his actions during World War II resulted in a conviction and death sentence for treason, which was commuted to life imprisonment by Charles de Gaulle.
3) Charles de Gaulle
He was a general and a hero for France. He was the leader of the resistance during German occupation during World War II too. He became president of the French Republic.
